Audio Tuner BlackBerry

Keep just about any musical instrument in pitch perfect tune wherever you are with your BlackBerry. Audio Tuner can tune your guitar, ukulele, violin, piano, bass guitar, banjo, mandolin, cello and autoharp.

Audio Tuner supports two tuning methods:

• Spectrum Analysis - play your musical instrument into the microphone and get feedback as to whether it's flat or sharp.
• Tone Generator - in the style of the pitch pipe, listen to the correct note and tune your instrument until it matches the sound.

Supported Handsets

• If you try out the software, please provide feedback as to whether or not it worked on your model.
• Please note that CDMA handsets do not support the spectrum analysis. Sorry! The tone generator (pitch pipe) should still work. CDMA networks include Sprint, Verizon, Alltel and U.S. Cellular.

¹Tone generator not working

Problems

Uncaught exception: net.rim.device.api.system.ControlledAccessException

You need to allow recording on the app.

• Go to Menu->Options->Security Options->Application Permissions->Audio Tuner BlackBerry->Edit Permissions.
• On some BlackBerry handsets, under Interactions, there's a "Recording" setting, which can be changed to "Allow"
• Try setting Allow for any settings along these lines.
• Save any changes.
